Analytical Acclaim is the blog for different, humorous, insightful, and oftentimes obtuse and ornery opinions that you've always wanted to read, express, or hear...but didn't know it. Follow intently, maybe step to the mic., enjoy responsibly and spread the word. Your mental patronage is appreciated. Let's get it on!
This is How We Do It:
Ah yet another incarnation of Mister Analytical's blog. I'm going to ride this one out. First, one thing you should know about me and this blog, I tend to stray from the status quo. I use a lot of inferences that oftentimes only I may get but I provide links to explain. The choice is yours to explore them depending on how much you do or do not care (you probably won't but sadly I'm tangent prone and tend to think like this). Second, I'm long winded like a mutha, so if you like things in 140 characters or less, check me on twitter. Lastly, things that other bloggers tend to write about or formats for their blogs, I will not do. I'm a middle of the road person so I don't get too political, too religious, or too contemporary. If I do choose to write about a hot-button-topic, more than likely it will be me offering my own take on the topic at hand (check me out in left field).

As for the structure, the labels will dictate the blog. Many bloggers offer certain entries at certain times and I think that is really a good way to go. However, like I said, I avoid stat-quo so for Analytical Acclaim the entries about a specific subject won't be posted at scheduled intervals. This blog is like a box of chocolates, you never know what good or bad tasting thing you're going to get.
The Labels as they stand now are:
Analyze This: My analysis of, "situations [that] arise, in our lives, and [we] gotta be smart about it." I may also present questions to readers that can be answered in the comment sections. Polls will also fall into this category. I definitely accept questions to address as well so please, hit me up. Feel free to use formspring.me (a box is also in the sidebar). I will tag a sub-section to identify the topic being addressed (race relations, business, gender issues, etc.)
Block Busters: By far the most universal obstacle bloggers face is, "what the hell do I write about today?" Add to that the parameters, if any, you have placed on yourself or your blog (what will I NOT write about?) it can become quite a daunting task. Fortunately there are many tools available to bloggers that will help give me the spark that I need. If you see an entry about a quirky subject that seems out of the norm (whatever that may be), if it comes from one of these online sources, I will reference where the idea came from (in case you want to check em out yourself) and hopefully it will be a welcome filler. The main idea of course is to try to make sure there are as few gaps in entries as possible.
Can It Be All So Simple: "Back in the days when I was young, I'm not a kid anymore, but somedays I sit and wish I was a kid again." - Ahmad. I'm getting older, Nostalgia is a beyotch and when ever I find myself thinking back, it's going to fall under this category.
Grade A: My official reviews of things that I've read, saw, or heard. Mostly but not limited to the Disposable Arts.
Disclosure: If I choose to share something personal, this is where you'll find it.
Disposable Arts: Entries that fall under this category will address TV, Film, Music including specific genres of music (mostly hip-hop), and Literature. Basically anything media related.
Everyday Struggle: General everyday ish that comes up that I feel like blogging about. It will be here. Sub section tags will be used in this section as well.
Nails on the chalkboard: If it grinds my gears, you'll find it here...as if you care...
So there you have it folks. This list is subject to change on a whim but I'll try to refrain from letting that happen. Hopefully by listing these things I haven't turned you off to the blog. I'm very opinionated, at times judgmental and narcissistic, other times aloof and nonchalant, but above all I like to think I am humorous and interesting. I truly hope you will enjoy my Analytical Acclaim. Please come in and make yourselves at home.
